I was looking forward to attend Kishoritai's concert for a long time, and finally made it. I haven't been to too many concerts, and this was experience of a lifetime. I don't know the nuances of classical music, so can't venture to offer a 'rasagrahan'.
But divine music it was. It was also enthralling to witness the wonderful, glowing picture of a master in action on stage, along with some of her worthy disciples and accompanists, taking the audience on to a magical tour.
Sometimes you may be a layman in the language of music, but you may strike upon something in the music, an elusive feeling, that even music buffs would not. That makes a journey complete.
There's a lot to learn from how these fine musicians approach Indian classical music, their performance, their loyalty, etc and if we all could revisit our mundane lives with some of that purity, this world would transform. The country is more in debt with the tradition of classical music than it cares to admit. Especially masters like Kishoritai should be admired as nation-builders of a different, spiritual kind. I20 All these values were in fine display in that concert.
