शनिवारवाडा कला महोत्सव २००८

Date: December 25 to 28.
Time: 6 PM onwards
Venue: Shaniwarwada

The 9th Shaniwarwada Kala Mahotsav 2008 will be held at the Shaniwarwada grounds from December 25 to 28. Maharashtra bhushan legendary Marathi poet and lyricist Mangesh Padgaonkar will inaugurate the festival at 6 pm on December 25.

Marathi short story writer D M Mirasdar, classical dancer Sucheta Chapekar-Bhide, Saregamapa little champ Shamika Bhide and shehnai maestro Daithankar will be felicitated on the occasion.

25th Dec:
The opening day will see singer Rahul Deshpande perform at 6.30 pm.

26th Dec:
Veteran Marathi actor Vikram Gokhale will present the Marathi play Pitrudevobhav at 6.30 pm on December 26. At 7.30 pm Pramod Ranade, Anagha Pendase and Shamika Bhide will present a special programme Majhe Jeevan Gaane in which they will recite lyrics written by Padgaonkar.

27th Dec:
Theatre group Natya Sampada will present their play Avgha Rang Ekchi Jhala on December 27 between 7.30 pm to 10 pm.

28th Dec:
Marathi artistes — Hrishikesh Ranade, Ashutosh Joshi and Swapnaja Wangikar — will enthrall audience with their novel programme ‘Song of the Life,’ on December 28 at 6.30 pm. Dedicated to the youth, this programme is visualised by Hrishikesh Ranade.

The entry is free for all.

Kay sahi prgrm organize kelay tumhi pan pureshi advertise na zalyane, though it is taken at best central place, we missed yesterday's and day before yesterdays' all programs. Shamika Bhide will be present for tomorrow's Hrishikesh's program? We r a great fan of her and music and would definitely attend today and tomorrow's prgrm. U have done a great work just advertising could be improved so that all lovers of music and their performers can enjoy the celebration and meet purpose of all the efforts taken by you with due respect. I would definitely like to know if i can do anything in this concern. Thanking you in anticipation.

How was the program? Unfortunately we (who don't live in Pune) could not even think of attending it.
