Sad demise of senior scholar-musician Dr Ashok Da Ranade on Saturday, 30 July 2011 was a shock to entire music world. Maharashtra Cultural Centre will pay tributes to Dr Ashok Da Ranade in a special program “Dr. Ashok Da Rande: A Musical Journey”. In this, Shyamala Vanarase, Vinay Hardikar and Sameer Dublay will share their experiences and thoughts on Dr Ranade. Chaitanya Kunte will explain Dr Ranade’s contribution as a vocalist, composer & musicologist with display of few audio-visuals. Along with this, Dr Ranade’s photographs will be exhibited. This program is organized on Thursday, 4th August 2011, 6.30pm at Sudarshan Rangamanch.
