In a programme of music from Renaissance England, Italy and Hungary
Custos Consort is a Renaissance music group led by Sándor Szászvárosi who is a renowned cellist and viola da gamba player in Hungary. He has studied in Huingary, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and the USA and has made many recordings. Since 2001 he has been organizing a series of early music concerts with the aim of presenting the particularly beautiful solo and chamber literature of the viola da gamba, the so called "Gamba Evenings" having been taking place each month in Budapest.
